The Journey of Elton John: The Cut – Supported by YouTube

In celebration of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s 50-year musical partnership, The Cut gave new, undiscovered filmmakers the chance to create the first ever music videos for three of Elton’s most iconic songs. The competition attracted attention from around the world and entries from over 50 countries.

A panel of renowned industry judges including Elton and Bernie themselves, selected three treatments to be put into production, providing the winning filmmakers the means to realise their visions. Sponsored by YouTube, The Cut has brought to life brilliant new music videos for Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man and Bennie and the Jets. (Subtitles available)
